When it comes to nature vs. nurture, we think of "nurture" in reference to people and one's surroundings. But what role is played by a person's name or place? Can a bad name cause a person to sin?

Heavy on the TT lately. I was recently exposed to it (relatively speaking) and have been incorporating it in my weekly parasha review (read: the commentaries that I set to show on alhatorah 😃) as well. Shabbat shalom
Yes! The Torah Temimah has been a regular part of my parashah learning for the past two or three years. I was initially prompted to start learning him because my Rosh ha'Yeshiva mentioned that if you want to learn HOW to learn midrashim, TT is an excellent guide. That's what I tried to capture in this article: were it not for the TT, I would have learned the machlokess in a completely different way. This really showcases his mastery of the literature.
