Thank you for reading and commenting! I'd also guess that Bruce Lee was drawing on Taoism. However, he also majored in philosophy at University of Washington (back when he lived in my hometown of Seattle!) and I'm sure his reading of the Stoics also helped shape his ideas, even if not in this exact passage.
