Synopsis: I chose this excerpt for two reasons: (1) Marcus Aurelius’s statements about the value of honesty, integrity, and lack of pretense complement the statements of the Rambam in Hilchos Deios on the same topic, which we recently covered in my Rambam Bekius shiur; (2) I love the analogy of the smelly goat!
